Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. About MailRadar
MailRadar is a free email compliance testing service operated by Saorsa, a company based in the Netherlands. The service allows you to submit emails for automated analysis against EU compliance standards including GDPR, ePrivacy, and country-specific email marketing regulations.
2. Service Provided “As Is”
MailRadar is provided free of charge and on an “as is” basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the service, including but not limited to:
- The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any compliance check or analysis result
- The fitness of the service for any particular purpose
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation of the service
- That results reflect the current state of applicable law or regulations
3. Acceptable Use
You may use MailRadar for lawful purposes only. You agree not to abuse, overload, or attempt to circumvent the service. Specifically:
- The service is rate-limited to 25 tests per day per IP address
- Automated scraping, bulk testing, or systematic probing of the service is prohibited
- You must not submit emails containing unlawful content or content designed to harm third parties
- You must not attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the service infrastructure
We reserve the right to block or restrict access to any IP address or user that violates these terms without prior notice.
4. Data Handling
We take data minimisation seriously. When you submit an email for testing:
- Email content (headers, body, attachments) is processed in memory for analysis and is not stored on disk
- Only the structured analysis results — scores, flags, and metadata — are retained
- Analysis results are automatically deleted after 7 days
- We do not use submitted email content for training, advertising, or any purpose other than generating your test report
- IP addresses may be logged temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention
Do not submit emails containing sensitive personal data, credentials, or confidential information beyond what is necessary to test compliance.
5. Informational Purposes Only
The results produced by MailRadar are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.
Compliance with email marketing law is complex and jurisdiction-dependent. A passing result from MailRadar does not guarantee that your email complies with all applicable laws, and a failing result does not necessarily mean you are in breach of law.
If you require legal advice regarding email marketing compliance, GDPR obligations, or any other regulatory matter, please consult a qualified legal professional.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Saorsa shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of — or inability to use — MailRadar or its results.
This includes, without limitation, any regulatory fines, penalties, or legal proceedings that may arise from actions taken (or not taken) based on MailRadar analysis results.
7. Modifications and Discontinuation
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue MailRadar — in whole or in part — at any time, with or without notice. This includes changes to:
- The checks performed and the regulations covered
- Rate limits and access conditions
- The data retention period
- These Terms of Service
Continued use of the service after any modification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when these terms were last revised.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands and applicable European Union law. Any disputes arising from the use of MailRadar shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that may apply in your country of residence.
